I am honored to be a featured artist for the June 15, 2013 Surge Community Church Concert Series. This is a Songwriters' Association of Washington sponsored event, after all! Hope to SEE YOU IN CHURCH at 7:00 pm on June 15! I'll be joined on stage by the fabulous Viqui Dill (Dill Pickers) on bass and percussionist Ron Goad.

The Surge Community Church is a wonderful laid-back venue that is very supportive of singer/songwriters and live music. Enjoy great music, coffee, tea, tasty cheesecake, and wonderful company. Concert is in the "barn" at the corner of Kirby and Westmoreland Streets.

It's a "girls night' at Epicure Cafe in Fairfax VA. Denise Philpott heads a night of wonderful women singers, songwriters and musicians with a broad range of styles. Come hear the intricate harmonies of Americana trio Ladies Done Waiting, the expressive harmonica of songwriter Chris Anderson, young and soulful singer, Vanessa Murphy, even younger and super gifted singer/songwriter, Helen Aires Marie.

GUYS are totally welcome & invited!! (All performers will be women...THAT'S why it is called Girls Night.)

Epicure Cafe is an artist's haven - hosting open mics for music, comedy and poetry, regular songwriters showcases, and fabulous homegrown art hanging on the walls and decorating the windows.

Whether your preference is Persian Tea, kabobs or pizza, hard cider or a mellow wine the food and drink at Epicure Cafe are outstanding! So grab your gal pals (and guys, too) and come on down.

Epicure was shut down for live music performances the very night I was scheduled there in January. And now it is back! Yippee! Congrats to Gus & Mojdeh!

I'm not sure who else is on the roster yet, but they will no doubt be among the DC area's finest singer-songwriters. So come on down - it's gonna be fun.
